Festival Began Gloriously With The Cortege Walk
This year our festival’s side subject was “Respects To The Masters”.
Deputy Minister of Development Mehmet Ceylan, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Abdurrahman Arıcı, District Governor of Safranbolu Murat Bulacak, Mayor of Safranbolu Dr. Necdet Aksoy, Term of 23th Deputy of Justice and Development Party Cumhur Ünal, Provincial Chairman of Karabük Justice and Development Party Timurçin Saylar, Political Party Representatives, local and foreign participants and citizens took part in the cortege which started in the Hıdırlık local and finished in Kazdaglıoglu square.
Tourists watched curiosly the cortege walk as well.
After the cortege which leaded till court of Koprulu Mehmet Pasha Mosque; “Old Friends” photograph exhibition was initiated by journalist Aytekin Kuş. After exhibition opening, Mayor of Safranbolu Dr. Necdet Aksoy said “We have the title of being first Documentary Film Festival and we have lighted festival torch proudly for 15 years” in the event which was held in Kazdaglıoglu Square.
First day of the festival Kerime Senyücel’s film “Fatih the Conqueror: The man who changed the fate of Europe” was shown in the platform which was set up in Misak-ı Milli Square.
In pursuit of this the night went forward with the magnificent dancing of Folk Dance Group of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
